McKay, Cauthen, Settana, & Stubley, P.A. is pleased to announce that M. Stephen Stubley, a partner with the firm, has been awarded the AV Preeimenent Rating by Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings. This designation signifies that Mr. Stubley has received the highest possible rating for his legal abilities and ethical standards. This designation is given to a very small percentage of attorneys across the United States. The Martindale-Hubbell website calls the AV Rating designation a “testament to the fact that a lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence.”
Mr. Stubley, a graduate of The Citadel and a South Carolina native, is a member of the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorney’s Association, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Educational Association. He is also the Past President of the Columbia Area Citadel Club. Mr. Stubley practices in the areas of workers’ compensation, subrogation, workers’ compensation appeals, and civil litigation.
In addition to his work as an attorney, Mr. Stubley is also the Chairman of the annual Brian C. Martin Memorial Golf Tournament. This tournament raises money for a needs-based scholarship for young men wanting to attend the Citadel and was established by the Citadel Class of 1993 to honor the memory of fellow classmate, Brian C. Martin.
