Tem, a native of Lake City, South Carolina, practices in the areas of government defense, general insurance defense, trucking and transportation law, workers’ compensation, civil litigation defense, and subrogation. Prior to joining the McKay firm, Tem worked as Legislative Counsel to the South Carolina Office of Senate Research. He was also a Law Clerk to the Honorable Paul E. Short at the South Carolina Court of Appeals.
Tem is also a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, Richland County Bar Association, South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys Association, South Carolina Trucking Association, and the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Educational Association. He is also active in the community as a Member of the Cayce West Columbia Jaycees, a Past President of the Greater Columbia Citadel Club and Member of the Epworth Early Intervention Center's Fund Development Committee.
Tem was also elected as the Mayor Pro Temp of the West Columbia City Council and resides in West Columbia with his wife, Cassie, and their three daughters, Emma, Cate and Charlotte.
